Chenghui Zhang (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in automation and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and operational research from Shandong University in 1985 and 2001, respectively. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Academic Committee, a Chair Professor, and the Dean of the School of Control Science and Engineering at Shandong University. He also serves as the Vice President and a Fellow of the Chinese Association of Automation, and is a member of the Eighth Discipline Evaluation Group for Control Science and Engineering of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council. His research interests include optimal control of engineering systems and control of renewable energy systems
